This simple applesauce cake made of pound cake pastry is easy to bake, ready in a few minutes. Very sappy by adding applesauce and topped by crunchy crumbles.
Ingredients (for one 24cm spring form)
120 g butter
200 g sugar
2 tbs. vanilla sugar
1/8 liter milk
450 g flour
1 1/2 tbs. baking powder
1000 g applesauce
1 tbs. cinnamon
For the crumbles:
150 g flour
60 g butter
80 g sugar
Stir the melt butter with sugar and vanilla sugar in the kitchen machine until creamy. Add the eggs and stir a few minutes. Stir in the flour, the mild and the baking powder and mix it about 5 mintues. Fill the dough in a well greased or baking paper covered spring form. Add the applesauce and top it with cinnamon.
For the crumbles: Cut the cold butter in pieces and knead it with sugar, the egg and the flour to small lumps. Put the raw crumbles on the top at the applesauce.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes at 175° degrees.
Advice: if you use a baking plate instead of a spring form reduce the baking to to 30 minutes.
